Caleb (Will Ash) is desperate to initiate Kim’s (Claire King) downfall after his previous plan to knock her off her perch to avenge his dad didn’t work.
It was his whole reason for arriving in Emmerdale to begin with. Now he gets a nugget of information that could see him follow through with his initial plan.
Except there’s a big spanner in the works, and it comes in the shape of Cain (Jeff Hordley).
Caleb gets wind of Kim’s involvement in Craig’s (Ben Addis) death and immediately thinks he’s struck gold.
Caleb sees an opportunity
He notices a micro reaction when Craig’s death is mentioned, suggesting a sense of guilt, and he jumps on it like Kim’s horse on Craig.
Knowing this incriminating information, Caleb uses it to taunt Kim. Kim is not one to be taunted, and she flips at his accusations and warns him off – inadvertently confirming that she does indeed have something to hide.
Caleb is rubbing his hands with glee when the moment he is waiting for arrives – Kim regales Will (Dean Andrew) about her near miss with Caleb earlier, unaware that Caleb is eavesdropping nearby. Now there’s no question of her guilt.
Caleb shares this information with Nicky (Lewis Cope), but he also has a nagging feeling Cain might be involved. He’s not wrong – he tracks his brother down and grills him about what he was up to that day.
Cain realises he is inches from his secret being discovered. Caleb is about to cause big problems for Cain in his quest to destroy Kim. Will he destroy his brother too?
