AFTER finding a cryptic note in the B&B, Bernice Blackstock is getting closer to an explosive truth.
The Emmerdale favourite played by Samantha Giles rumbles a shock affair before making her move on business partner Bob Hope.
The B&B owner portrayed by Tony Audenshaw has been clueless to the fact that his other half, Wendy Posner, embarked on an affair with Dr Liam Cavanagh.
Freshly single following his bitter separation from Leyla Harding, the village GP (played by Jonny McPherson) seduced the nurse (Susan Cookson) when the pair secretly agreed to collaborate on a murder mystery novel.
Victoria Sugden eventually put two and two together, encouraging Wendy to hold off from her affair and do the right thing for her partner Bob.
But things only went from bad to worse when Bernice Blackstock found a note from Liam, whose handwriting she immediately recognised.
The jig is up for Wendy and Liam next week on ITV and it all begins when the latter surprises her with a night away.
Wendy feels guilty as she calls Bob to let him know she’ll be going away.
Having had enough with what is going on behind his back, Bob is soon stunned when Bernice reveals Wendy and Liam are having an affair.
Unfortunately for her, Bob refuses to believe Bernice’s bombshell and instead lashes out at her.
Later, an apprehensive Wendy jumps in the car with Liam and Bernice watches them drive off in disbelief at how brazen they really are.
Out in the village, Bob checks in with Bear Wolf (Joshua Richards) about Liam’s behaviour.
He’s stunned to learn Bear thinks Liam has a woman on the go and the news rings alarm bells – he heads off to make an urgent call.
Later on, an upset Bob reveals to Bernice he knows about the affair, as he has rung the hotel to confirm and, desperately sad, he mulls over his life.
Bernice wishes she could scoop him up and make everything okay.
Meanwhile at the hotel, Liam’s devastated when Wendy says she wants to stop the affair and heads to another bedroom.
Back at the B&B, Bob’s tempted to join Bernice for the night as his attraction for her is still strong.
What will he do?
Is this the end of Bob and Wendy’s romance?
